Pre-Departure Checklist When Planning a Vacation

Hi! I’m Stephanie Phillips with expertvillage.com. We’re talking about trip planning. How long before your trip do you start to plan? Well, if you’re going internationally, better make sure you get a passport. If you’re going to need a international driver’s license, you better get an international driver’s license. If you’re going someplace where you need shots, you better make sure you have sufficient time to get them and recuperate. Now, you’re set with the preliminary absolute requirements. Now, you’re getting to about 2 weeks before you’re going. Start looking at the checklist. This means stopping the mail. Make sure you stop the newspaper. Maybe get somebody to be a house sitter, or at least to check in on the house and water the plants. Make sure that you’re not going to have newspapers around. It’s a matter of security. Make sure you have the right luggage. Make sure you bought the right clothes or you have them in your closet. There are timelines, a week before, 3 days before. Reconfirm your flights or have your professional reconfirm your flights. What you have to do is make sure you’re not in a hassle before you’re going on your trip. Plan sufficiently ahead and then you’ll be relaxed when you’ll be ready to leave. You’ll be ready to travel; you’ll be ready to have a good time.
