We know that a key component in preventing a root canal or any type of tooth diseases is keeping our teeth and gums clean. However, if we can't keep them clean, we have these treatments that are preventative. We must catch it early. We can?t wait until the last minute. At that point, there is no going back. Once the nerve tissue is damaged, it is permanent; there is no healing. Unfortunately, for tooth structure, you can have the entire crown of your tooth intact and most of your nerve tissue; however, if you have one little point of damage, then all of the nerve tissue must be removed. Once the bacteria gets into that area, it just spreads like a dandelion. So, we want to prevent that. We don't want to let that bacteria to get into that main chamber.
