Bowing Dog Trick

Bow is another fun trick you can do with your dog. With female dogs it tends to be a little bit easier because you have little cheater methods we can do. Basically, what you want to do is get your dog into a down and treat them before they actually get their but down. "Get Down." "Good Girl." So I want to stop her there. I want to get her down there again so I will tell her down. "Good Girl," right at the moment that she stops looking like a bow. If you have a dog that likes to go down, you can take a leash and hold them up, which now forces there back end to be up. You can also use your arm to hold their back end up. So if you were using your arm as a little helper guide, you would have her go down, "Good Girl," and push it in towards her legs so you get a little bit more of a stretch and then let her go. As they get better with it, you can get her down, push her back a little, tell her bow and if you got a good stay she should stay there.
