Backing Up Dog Trick

The next thing that we are going to do is teach our dogs to back up and the reason why i like the back up the best is because if you have a dog that is very exuberant with their toys and like to jump can actually tell them to back up and wait for their toy so that they can go and get their toys. Jake come, good boy, drop, good boy and the way that we would do this, is a couple ways you can do this. The first one, if you have a dog that backs up easy would be to take you treat and just back in to him, back back, back, back, back, good boy and give him a treat. He has progressed really quick because he knows it. You would start with little baby steps, come, by actually just walking in to him and one step back would get a treat. Another easy way to do this is to bring him through a row of chairs. Where you would bring him through the row of chairs so that they can get out and just start going backwards as they are doing it tell them good boy. And then you would add the hand signal and the word and what you would do it just tell him back, back, back, good boy. So your end result is you should get a dog that you can tell them back, back, back, come forward, go back, so that they learn to be maneuvered a whole lot easier.
