How to Prevent a Root Canal

How do we prevent a root canal? Most common. You don't want to get cavities. Okay. Because if you get a cavity then that's a chance for that cavity to grow and if it grows then it will turn into a root canal. How do you prevent getting a cavity? Good oral hygiene. Good home care. How do we have good home care? The most common procedure is to brush your teeth once a day at least. If you could after every meal. If you can't at least in the morning and at night before you go to bed rinse with a fluoridated mouth wash. Which you can find over the counter. Basic oral hygiene. Brushing, flossing, sometimes even using a water pick. Anything to help keep the debris off the gum and your teeth before you go to bed. When we go to sleep that oral cavity becomes an incubator. It's very warm. The temperature's just right for the bacteria to do its work. And that's why we want to keep the oral cavity, our mouth, as clean as possible.
