What is the warranty plan on the frame or the lenses at your opticians office? What can they for you, if something happens to your glasses? I can tell you from experience, is we've been altering our warranty policy here that the warranty is very important to the customer. Especially, in regards to a child. A child breaks their frame, picks up the pieces, they bring them back to us. It doesn't matter what condition they're in, we're going to replace it. No questions asked. Other offices, may not have that luxury. They might charge you for the warranty. I know several places that actually charge you for a guarantee. So, definitely ask the optician when you're in there. What kind of warranty does your practice offer? Sometimes, the warranty is through the manufacturer. Ask them that. Is my child's warranty through you, the optician or is it through the manufacturer? That's very important. Because, if it's just a manufacturers warranty then you're kind of at the whim of what they're going to cover. And, generally speaking that's only if it's broken at the hinges. If it looks like it hasn't gone through undue stress. Here, like I said the glasses could have been run over with the car. And, we're going to accept them and we're going to replace them one time free at no charge. But, it's at the discretion of wherever you bought the glasses. So, make sure your optician or the manufacturer has a really good warranty policy on those glasses before you decide to purchase.
