If finances can afford you this option, I definitely would take advantage of it. A lot of optical's, they offer either what they call a bogo, a buy one get one or sometimes they'll do a fifty percent off option on the second pair of glasses. But, children are probably the most likely to need a second pair as second glasses option. Children, again more prone to breaking glasses. Definitely, more prone to losing them. What happens in a lot of cases, I see a lot of parents who come in and say my child just broke their glasses and they don't have anything else to wear. And, I'll look at the prescription. And, the prescription of the child is pretty stout. It's nothing that the child can't do without. But, they may have to do without. Because, it may take us a couple of days to get the frame in. And, we have to overnight something. So, it's not something that can be done as a quick fix. This actually just happened to me in the office the other day. Child broke their glasses and didn't have a second pair. It's pertinent. Again, if finances can afford it that you can get a second pair of glasses for your child. That way, the child is never in dire straits not being able to see. So, I definitely recommend that if you can afford that. Definitely, buy a second pair of glasses for your child. A backup. It can be a lot of places offer some less expensive options for frames. You don't have to buy named brands or anything like that. But, you can get a second pair of glasses. Because, that will serve the purpose of just being the backup for your child.
