Hey there. We are talking about types of persuasion. I want to ask you a question. Has anybody ever had a shot? Well, of course you have. It's called an inoculation. What happens when they give you the flu shot? Well, they fill you up with flu so that you won't get the flu. I don't know. Does it make you hostile? Maybe, if it hurt, right? Well, audiences are very, very similar. What I want to talk about is if you do a question and answer portion of your program, or even if you don't, you need to know how much your audience knows, how much they have been inoculated before your speech, because what will happen - you could end up with a hostile audience. That's why it's real important to know how much information they have and where they stand on your topic before you decide if you're going to do a Q and A. If you're talking about one of those hot button topics, oh I don't know, like the war, you're going to have some people, like everyone that has a real strong emotional stance about that subject, and unless you are ready to argue and refute your position, you should not have a Q and A. Check your inoculation. Check. Make sure your shots are up to date with your audience, okay?
