Just beside the power switch button there is another small lock, which is called the memory lock. Sometimes it happens when you switch on your camera; it goes to the memory mode. If the lock is on, then the camera will never go to the memory mode. Just beside the battery release button there is another switch called the photo switch. This is used when you want to click a still image. Beside the photo switch there is a operator which is called the thorough zoom, which is the automatic zoom. On one end you'll find W and on the other you'll find T. W means the wide angle lens and T means the telephoto lens. So if you want to zoom in you have to go from W to T and similarly if you want to zoom out you have to come from T to W. This feature is very useful for amateur cameramen because they can use the zoom without any shaking or jarring. You can also find another sort of zoom, which is on the hand bar. Now just below the servo zoom on the handle there is a switch, which denotes off, low, and high. This is to maintain the speed of the servo zoom. On the handle beside the servo zoom, there is another recording button. If you press this, automatically you can record your images. Now I'll sow you how to insert a tape and eject a tape. This is a standard mini DV tape which goes into most of the digital cameras around the world. Now to insert the tape, there is an insert and eject button, just over the power switch. You push the blue button in and pull it down. First the lid comes out and then the cassette case comes out. Now make sure that the magnetic strip goes down below and the face of the tape is facing outside, towards the cassette lid. Now place your tape finely inside, push it, push the cassette cover in first and wait until the cassette goes down. Once the cassette goes down you can just close up the lid by pushing the push button. Similarly to eject the tape, you just push the eject button again and the lid opens and wait for the cassette lid to come out. Once the cassette lid comes out you just pull out your tape.
