Now let us see the backside of this camera. In the back you'll find a lot of switches. The first switch is for gain control. The second switch is for shutter speed control. Third switch is for the white balance control and the fourth switch is for the AE shift, which is call, the Auto Exposure Shift. Now below all of the switches you'll find a rotating dial which is used for selection procedures for each of the switches. Beside the switches, you can see, there is a function called auto-lock and hold and there is another switch which is a toggle switch, which is for the audio level. Below these four switches you'll find a jog dial. This is very useful while selecting the menu and also it is used to change the components of the other four switches, which I've just mentioned. Just beside the jog dial, you'll find the audio level switch. This is a very important switch on all digital cameras. This switch is very useful to set the level of your audio. To use it, just press it once and with the help of the jog dial you can set the audio level marker. Just above the audio level switch there's another important switch. This has got three positions. The center position is for manual operation. The above position is for auto-lock. Auto-lock means that every setting in your camera is automatically done through the camera only. Lets say gain, shutter speed, white balance, exposure; everything will be automatically set by the camera. And below the standard position is the hold position, where if you switch it to the hold mode, then ever setting switch you have done up till now has been saved by the camera and nobody else can change it, other than you. Now after this, I'll show you how to insert the battery. Every digital camera will have a battery chamber. Some work like this. Now this is a standard which has been used in most of the digital cameras around the world. It is a lithium battery. Now on the battery you'll see a down arrow. Place the battery, just put it into the battery chamber and slide it towards the arrow. You will hear a distinctive click and you'll know that your battery has been attached. Now I'll show you how to release the battery from the battery chamber. Just above the battery chamber you'll find a switch called the battery release switch. Press down the switch, hold the battery, pull it up, and take it out.
