How to Use Base Plate With Digital Video Camera

After the functionalities of the tripod there is another import feature of the tripod, which is called the base plate. The base plate looks like this. This is the plate which secures the camera to the tripod. Now every camera will have a base plate screw beneath the camera, here. Now make sure that the screw of the base plate and the hole of the camera is firmly attached. I'll show you how to fix the base plate. Just put it in, and tighten the screws up. Make sure the screw is firmly tight and the base plate becomes the part of your camera only. Once the base plate is firmly fixed with the camera it is time to mount the camera on your tripod. On the tripod you'll find the place where the base plate goes in and there's another lock to it, this is called the base plate lock. You pull out this lock, you fix the base plate inside the place where it goes in and you leave this locked. This makes sure that the base plate and the tripod and your camera are also in one quantity. Once the camera is firmly mounted on the tripod you can check it by loosening up your tray lock and see whether the camera is going down or it is shaky. If it is not then you can see, then you can find out that your base plate and the camera and the tripod are also quantity. Now I'll show you how to dismount the camera from the tripod. Just pull out the base plate lock, like this, and just pull out the camera like this. After your camera is mounted on the tripod, there's another point, that your camera has to be balanced. What I mean is that, when you take the tripod or your camera to different locations, every location has it's own slope, and with that slope the camera or the image will get dis-balanced. That is why that it's very necessary, where ever you keep the tripod and mount your camera, you balance your camera according to the slope of the ground. Now I'll show you how to balance the camera. Every tripod will have a operator called the bubble balance. This operator where there is a small container which holds the fluid. And if you see carefully it has got a circle marked out in the center. Now the fluid will always have a bubble. Now to balance the tripod or the camera, the trick is to unlock the bubble balance lock, which is underneath the tripod, and move the tripod head circley and try to make the bubble come inside the inner circle. Once the bubble is inside the inner circle, just tighten up the bubble balance screw. This way you can really balance the camera.
