Hi, my name is Julie Kay Robinson. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we're going to be designing one dozen roses. The first step in creating a bouquet is how to select the container. I have a number of different containers on my table and I'll explain why I'm going to pick the nice tall one. First of all, this is a platter. It's going to be a little bit low. We're going to want our arrangement to be nice and big and showy because the roses have long stems. This one wouldn't be a good choice because it's smaller and it's got more contemporary lines. This container is pretty but it's not the best because it has more of a Mediterranean feel. This container, as well, has real contemporary lines and the opening is not quite big enough for a dozen roses. So, today we're going to use this container. It's got a nice wide opening. It'll be very nice for a dozen roses. We can make it nice and tall and it will suit our purposes very well. This is how you select a container for a dozen roses.
