The Ji Technique for Tai Chi

Hi. When it comes to Ji in Tai Chi, like I said pon, liu, ji. This is very offensive now, this is offensive. Again, pon liu...we are using this as a weapon. For example, this is a block this is a block. Now I have already let you attack me or touch me twice. The third time you should not do that, you need to just give him a warning. If you do not give him warning he is just coming back again. So pon, liu, brush the hand. Now what you see is a face. Use this snap like I said at the beginning, wrist is a weapon. When you have a hand right here, close to your chest, let me tell you either he is going to throw you the other fist or you have got to go fast. Go straight to the face, throat, chest. You do not want to smack him right in the chest because they got muscle right there. And I will have my assistant show it to you. Now, take a look. When someone is unfriendly approaches you like this, I am not going to take it with my chest, it hurts. And he is simply pressing it. Now again look at that, I am going to put two hands right here. Pressing it. It is not acting, if I do not have my hand right here, this tip is going to jab into my chest. It is a good warning, because you are not breaking him. You are making sure that he is not going to approach you unfriendly again. If this one goes to the face, forget it, his nose is going to be relocated. So that was the subject of Ji. Press. Let us move on to Un. Un means push.
