About Blended Teas

Okay, blended teas. What is a blended tea? Well it's just like it sounds. Its two kinds of tea blended together. Now, you won?t really see a blend of tea very often that is like a green tea blended with a black tea. Or a white tea blended with an oolong. You might see that from time to time but generally we're talking about blending teas of the same basic category like black teas or green teas with one another. Okay, so as I said before. You have teas that are grown in different parts of the world and they have different characteristics. One tea might have a lot of caffeine and the other tea might have a really smooth flavor. So maybe you'll mix a Darjeeling black tea with an Assam black tea to create a black tea blend. And some famous blends that you may have heard of are like English breakfast tea, is a blend of several kinds of black teas. And Irish breakfast tea as well as Indian breakfast are all different blends of black teas. And so with all these different teas I encourage you to go out and buy them and try them so that you can find out what blends or what plain old single type teas you like the best.
