How to Clamp Wood Veneer Furniture Patch

O'kay now that we have the glue pushed up underneath the veneer and we have the excess glue wiped off as much as we can I am going to take a piece of hard plastic like this and lay it over the edge and put these two spring clamps on it and leave this to dry. It probably takes five to six hours for the glue to be dry enough for us to work on. We'll assume that this has been setting long enough for the glue to dry and take the clamps off and take the plastic off. You want to come back with a rag that has been dipped in just a little bit of water and clean off any glue that has squeezed out. That should hold the edge of your veneer down pretty well.
