There's an interesting wine out there called GSM. Actually, GSM stands for Grenache-Syrah-Mouvedre, and they're talking about a blend of three grapes. This wine, GSM, is based on the Cotes du Rhone or the wines from the southern Rhone Valley. However, when we take it out of France and we bring it to Australia or America or Texas or New Zealand or Argentina, we call this wine GSM. Now there's another word for GSM that I hesitate to say, but I will. They also call the GSM, in addition to being the Rhone blend, they call it the "holy trinity". And actually there's many wines out of Australia called the "holy trinity". We're taking the nice fruity, light-bodied Grenache, blending it with a spicy Syrah, mixing it in with a deep, dark, hearty grape called Mouvedre, and putting it all in a good old GSM blend. If you see one in the store, give it a try. It'll be an interesting wine for you to get to know.
