Storing Your Tea

Maybe you went down to your specialty tea store and you bought a Green and a Black, and maybe you bought a Rooibos or a White tea. Maybe you bought a whole bunch of different kinds because you wanted to try them all. You're going to need a way to store that tea. Now, generally when you buy tea, it's going to come in either a metal canister or an opaque, zipper sealed plastic bag. Those are great things to store your tea in. I can also recommend that if, maybe, you bought your tea in bulk from the grocery store or something like that, you put it in something that is air tight. It might be a container like this, or even a plastic bag. And, light could have harmful effects on you tea. If you do store it in a clear plastic bag, it's great because it's air tight, but you might want to store it inside a cupboard or cabinet someplace where the light is not going to get to it.
