And so what I like to do then is just to cut real close to the pepper because I want to get rid of the seeds and the membrane. But get all the pepper that I can. A red pepper is actually a ripe pepper. Green peppers are actually unripe peppers, which is interesting. Because sometimes people that can't eat green peppers, that feel they get indigestion from them, if they eat red peppers they have no trouble. So now, I get rid of all the seeds and the membranes and then I can make my cut. And again, if you have a choice on a surface that's going to move or one that's not going to move, pick the one that's not going to move. And I'm going to make some vertical cuts. Haven't seen red bell peppers, or any peppers, actually- actually no! I take it back. There's a little store by me in Sherman Oaks called Farm Boys and I have seen peppers already cut up. S So you can probably get everything cut up for you. I'm going to put it on the salad. I'm going to make sure my dressing is set. I'm going to pour it all over the top. Tap it out to get all that lemon zest out. And I'm going to stir. Whoops! Well, this bowl, as beautiful as it is for serving, is not that great for stirring. So I'm going to pour it into a big bowl so that I can get all the dressing fully incorporated. And again, this is really crunchy, fresh. There's no oil whatsoever, so there's no fat in this recipe. The only sugar came from the tablespoon of agave. And this dressing was so easy to make, you could just use it on shredded cabbage. Make like an Asian coleslaw. It's just really, really pretty. I'm going to put it back in the dish. And again that half a cup made plenty of dressing for this amount of vegetables. I think it's even prettier when the colors are mixed. So there you have it. Asian slaw with a homemade dressing in really, probably, less than five minutes.
