Yoga Pigeon Pose

And the coming onto all fours again. And extend the right knee forward towards the outer edge of your mat. Your back leg is going to extend straight behind you to come into a Pigeon Pose. So this is another stretch for the outer hip and the area that works into the lower back. You can think of drawing your inner legs toward each other and then opening up the outer hip, keeping the stable action of your pelvis and your shoulders squaring over your hips. If you need to use a prop to support your hip you can take a blanket underneath your front hip to help you there. And if you want a deeper stretch you can ease your forearms forward but try to keep your shoulders open, chest open.
