How to Play Gritty Hammond Organ

In this clip, we're going to be talking about how to get a big fat juicy growly organ sound. Kind of like, John Lord from Deep Purple. Or, any of those big the kind that almost sound like a guitar just being set on fire or something. Like we talked about with the drawbars, they go from low to high. So, you're just going to start with bringing down your low drawbars. And, also you're going to want to basically turn everything up as loud as it will go. The Leslie Speaker and the Pre-Amp Hammond on the organ, they're all tube technology. You know, nineteen fifties tube technology and it's just really warm distortion when you turn everything all the way up. Actually, I have the Leslie turned all the way up too. So, it's just going to get this nice gritty overdrive. I said it was pretty growly.
