How to Play Rock Hammond Organ

In this clip, we're going to be talking about how to get some different sounds, and just, in general, how to think about getting different sounds with the organ. You've seen some of the different controls, and, like I said before, using the draw bars is--that's the main sound generator for this type of organ. Let me get the spot right. If you--you know, it's great to be able to get a bunch of different textures of sounds, even within the same song sometimes, and even switching between songs. Starting with one draw bar set and maybe switching to, you know, you got your deeper, heavier kind of sounds, and then you want to go to like a lighter one or whatever. Then all it is is just a matter of switching between your presets. So, your B flat to your B. So, you know, I said maybe this when you're playing the verse with a more lighter sound with the band, and then you bust in on the chord for the big, heavier like, you know, kind of heavier sound. So, you know, you can get all different kinds of sounds through the different draw bars. Now, the next couple steps that we're going to be showing you are how to get specific types of sounds.
