Growth hormones can be found in conventional products. However, they are not found in organic products. Growth hormones occur naturally in the human body and in animals. An example would be, a growing boy would have the release of testosterone as he's growing. So, with cows sometimes the beef industry will give their cows growth hormones so that the animals will be more efficiently in utilizing nutrients to produce leaner, more affordable beef. Critics have claimed that the hormones may cause and promote breast cancer and that, also, girls who are consuming some of these conventional foods may be starting puberty earlier, which could also link to breast cancer. So, research is being done about that right now. There's not a lot of research that claims that this is happening but if you were concerned about growth hormones being administered into some of the foods your consuming then I recommend that you purchase organic products. If this is not a concern for you then conventional products would be right for you.
