Fertilizers in Conventional vs. Organic Foods

Farmers every year are reusing the ground that they are using on whatever it is they may be growing, whether it's fruits or vegetables or grains. They are using that soil over and over again. Whatever is being grown in that soil is depleting the nutrients in the soil. That's how the food gets the nutrients. So farmers have had to come up with a way to put the nutrients back into the soil so that it can be healthy enough for the plants to grow. This might be familiar to you. It's a synthetic fertilizer that we often see for our lawns or our gardens. That is what farmers use to fertilize their crops when they become depleted of minerals. Organic farms, however, will use natural forms of fertilizers. Back in the fifteen hundreds they actually used to grind up bums to get the minerals from the bones back into the soil. So, if you are going to eat conventional foods just know that it is a possibility that they have, the farmers, have used synthetic fertilizers to grow the food or if you choose organic foods they have used more of a natural way.
