Apply Mascara for TV & Movie Makeup

Hi, my name is Sonja Gjokaj. I am the owner of Gjokaj makeup and I am here with Expert Village to talk to you about makeup for production. Now I am going to talk to you a little bit about mascara's. Also you want to look out there is probably a million products out there. There is lengthening. There is volumizing there is even mascara that actually even mascara that have a little bit of fiber in them to plump up and ump up lashes. Mascaras with primers and I actually like to use a mascara with or use a primer before actually before I use my mascara. Just because it gives the lash a little bit of thickness. So in a lot of cases also if the lashes come out very straight I like to use a lash curler. The way you use this and a lot of people are always very scared. But if you are ever using a curler on someone else you just lift the eye area a little bit and just grab the lash and you kind of want to do a more sort of pulsing motion. You don't want to just clamp in the entire lash and press. You kind of want to press and release and then press again. So you get a nice curve to the lash. Now see the key is really to lift so you don't get any skin or eyelid into there and it's not really that scary. So now with my primer I am going to just thicken up the lashes. So just do a couple of coats and then let it dry. Same on the other side. And then you will see this will really give the lash a nice thickness or will bring in some nice volume. And usually I tend to do more on the upper lash then the lower lash. So once it's dry you add your mascara.
