Style Eyebrows for TV & Movie Makeup

Hi, my name is Sonja Gjokaj and I am the owner of Gjokaj makeup. I'm here with Expert Village to talk to you about make up for production. In this seg we're going to talk about brow and the different products that you can actually purchase or think of getting; especially for production. I am a big fan of brow powders just because they blend in a more natural way. There's also brow pencils that can fill in and bring out the eyebrow. I'm going to actually work with a brow powder. What you need is a small angled brush so you can really follow the natural shape of the brow. So, I'm going to saturate my brush and I'm using more sort of an ash blond color. A rule of thumb is to look at the darkest parts or roots in your client's hair and it should probably match that rather than trying to match the brow. Just use that as a guide line. So, I think this sort of ash blond really works well. Now lift your chin a little bit up, perfect. So now with my small angled brush I'm just going to try to fill in any sparse areas that I see. So you can really define the eyebrow without having it look too harsh. See the difference? Great, and it still looks very natural. We're going to do the same thing on the other side. Just like that. Really all you need is the angled brush and a good brow powder that matches. So you want to stay away from anything that is too dark or too light or even something with a different hue that doesn't work with your face. Another good idea is to really really work in the light conditions that you are going to or that they are going to be shooting in so you really see right away how it's going to look. To set this and to make sure this will stay in place, I usually like to finish off with a little bit of a brow gel. You can also bring a little bit of luster into the brow and that makes them look even more natural. Brows usually have a little bit of shine to them. The little hairs look...a little bit of shine to them. There you go, perfect. Looks great.
