Fine Sanding Tips for Making a Walking Cane
Ok. Now, while our paste that's in the cracks here is drying, I'm going over it a little bit with a piece of very fine sandpaper. This is two-twenty grit and just sort of giving it a little rub down. This helps the finish bring out the color of the grain a little more. And, it just kind of gives it a little smoother look. You don't have to do too much. We do want this cane to look kind of old and rustic. So, I do leave a lot of the scratches and the little marks that came with using the tool. Kind of gives it that old timey look. That will do.
