Planning a Home Recording Studio

Hello. This is Aaron De Azevedo and I'm here with Expert Village. We're going to talk about what kind of projects we can do in our home studio. The size of the project depends on how much money you want to put into your home studio. But, here for example I've done some music for television shows. Lots of things, where there's lots of midi sequencing. You don't want to get in over your head with some projects you might not be able to handle. For example, if they wanted me to record an orchestra here or something. Well, I don't know how to do it and there's not even enough space. It's good for, most people I've found want their home studios when they have a CD they want to make. Or, they want to have a demo. Something like that. We can do that here. We can make a professional sounding CD here in our home studio. It takes, you might when you start out want to have an engineer come in and show you how to setup the mics and everything like that. Or, you want to go buy books and learn all that you can about it. Because, a lot of that stuff if you don't know how to mic your instruments you're never going to have anything that sounds really professional. It's all going to sound demo quality. Those are some things to think about. But, as far as what you can do. It just depends; just make sure you know what you're getting into when you do a project. And, it's always going to take longer than you think it does. Just some advice. There are some tips about your home studio.
