In this clip we're going to be going over how to actually start twisting and getting ready for our butterfly twist. Now you should already have down how to do a Wushu before going into the butterfly twist. So now we're going to go ahead and work on the spin. If you don't have the Wushu down yet, it's a bad idea to start trying a twist. I see a lot of people, they just barely learn how to do the Wushu or butterfly, then they start to try and twist right away and it looks horrible and they're falling like crazy and getting hurt. So you've got to have a high butterfly and be able to hold it all the way around and land smoothly standing straight up. So now let's go ahead and go and work on our twist. Now we're going to go ahead and use some laws of physics. As you might see a lot of skaters or ice skaters and people who dance, they'll have their arms out when they're spinning, go ahead and try this, have your arms out. Now as you do it start to bring your arms in slowly, and you can see you start going faster and faster. Now go ahead and do it. Spin, go on one leg, let it all the way out, and pull your arms in as hard as you can, and squeeze your legs together, and just stand on one leg and spin and you'll notice how fast you go. So let's go here and give it a try. I'm just spinning my normal speed, I want to go on one foot, spin, and see how fast that spun my around? So just like the laws of physics, you want a tighter, you want to pull everything in nice and tight, and it's going to pull the center of gravity so it spins you nice and fast. So you've got to really think about that as you go into your butterfly twist, arms tight, and legs tight. You can either have your arms across or arms here, or put both of them to your shoulder and looking. Now you've got to remember, look in the direction you're going to spin, because your head is going to guide your flip. So out, looking, as I come around I look, hit, and spin. So now your butterfly twist is going to be the same thing. Instead of standing straight up, now we're just going to it horizontal. So you're going to go right into your butterfly twist, and hit, and spin.
