Cutting Out Collage Images with a Knife
So next, I'm going to try a different technique. I'm going to use this art knife, and one thing to be sure of. Make sure it's screwed on really tight here. Depending on what your knife is like, it may have different functions, as far as the tightening of the blade is concerned, but be extra, extra careful. It's very, very sharp and very dangerous. Be very safe. Make sure you have supervision, if you're younger and don't know how to handle one. You just hold it in your hand, and you're going to use the very tip of the blade to make an incision. I found this old Spanish phrase book, and I'm going to use some text, kind of go for the same theme. I'm just going to make a horizontal cut, as straight as I can across the top, and then down on the side, the same, making sure my fingers are a good safe distance away from the blade. Once you've made the final cut make sure you put the blade back in the case safely. It should just pop right out. This is the next piece to our collage.
