Materials to Make a Collage

So I'm here making collages. One thing you have to make sure is, you have to have all the supplies you need before you start. Here I have this little bag, full of different paints, paint markers, pens, and just all sorts of different things I've collected over the years. Obviously whatever colors and types of inks or paints you want to use is fine. Here's a pencil, sometimes I uses that; an eraser, just a pen. A lot of times you'll have a tough time getting things out of magazines or books, so I recommend a simple knife, like this, with a razor. In case you need to make any cuts or changes you can always use a ruler to make sure all your lines are straight. I sometimes even seal things in wax. I have this and a little press with my initial. And of course you need match to light, or a lighter, to melt the wax to drip on the paper. And then for the adherents, I have just simple rubber cement glue here that works really nicely and dries clear. I also have some double sided tape. This is also kind of the gum tape that you lick like an envelope that sticks, which is also a different way to do things if you want to do that. I also have rope. Sometimes I bind things in rope and wrap them up. It makes it look kind of nice and rustic. These are all simple things you might need. Of course there is tons more or you might not need this many things, but this is what I use. Always scissors to cut things out as we start to make our collage.
