What Are Darts?

Ok, what are darts? To the lay person, darts are like a little bow and arrow without the bow. This is your little arrow that flies through the air into the dart board. Now a dart is comprised of three main points. Right here you have the point. Now the point is the area that goes into the dart board, that's the part that goes right in and sticks into the dart board. The next part is the stem. This part is called the stem. This is where you are actually holding on to the dart to get accuracy. This is where you're going to throw from, the stem right here. The next part is the fin. Now fins come in a bunch of different variations. Right here I have the triangular fin. They also have round fins. It just depends on you what kind of fin that you want to use that you get the most accuracy out of when you are throwing darts. Now, right here I have unicorn throwing darts. These are probably the most expensive darts that you can buy or one of them. These you can buy them pretty much anywhere, I think I got these ones at Wal-Mart or Target but you can buy these really expensive darts in really easy places. What I have right here that came with my darts is a little tool. Now this tool has a little metal part on it that you can stick right into the stem right here to loosen and tighten it. Now, I'm going to take this stem off right here and let's say I'm playing in a high stakes game and I don't want to be using metal, maybe metal is a little bit heavier than what I want to be throwing with. These are different variations for different games. My darts also came with plastic, now these clear plastic ones are a lot lighter and for a lot of people it throws a lot better. So depending on what you like, use metal or plastic. Again, you got your little tightening tool right here that sticks into it and tightens your dart. Now the fin, simply goes right on there and make sure that you fold out your fin to the necessary throwing. It's different for everybody some people like the fin flat like this, some people like it completely trained just like that. Now, we have our dart, let's show you how to get started throwing these.
