Removing Old Front Speaker Screws for Car Stereo Installation

Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be taking you through step 2 in our procedure for installing a new front speaker. Once we remove the cover for our speaker and expose that in our dash, then we need to remove these retaining screws. Now on this particular model of car, the retaining screws have a star head, so I am going to need a star head driver to remove those. Again when you replace your speaker, you are going to want to make sure that you replaced it with one of the same size. Otherwise you are probably going to run in to quite a bit of trouble when you try to put that new one in. On these rear screws, it can sometimes be difficult because you will run into the windshield. They also make L-shape screwdriver bits that will help assist you in the process of getting those out.
