Using the Settings Menu for iPod Basics

Hi! My name is Eric. I’m talking to you today on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today, we are talking about the settings menu on the iPod click wheel series from photo, nano, and the iPod video. One of the things that’s very interesting about this menu is it controls a majority of the extra functions on the actual iPod itself. It controls what things are on the menu and so on and so forth, and will give you extra information. If we scroll down here to setting, which is this, you’ll notice that at the very top of the menu it indicates that we’re on the settings the menu. I’m just going to scroll through these and just kind of identify the main point ones for you. First one is the about menu, which will actually go through and tell you the information about the iPod such as the serial number, so on so forth. Next, the main menu option controls what is actually on your main menu. Next, is shuffle, which controls song album or simply off in this case. Repeat, controls all one or all off. The back light timer controls the amount of time that your back light is on when there is no use of the actual iPod. Audio books is for controlling playback speed. EQ is your global playback option for EQ. Compilations is there to show compilations on the play list menu. Sound check is an option controls the actually volume globally if all of your MP3s have different volumes. The next one is clicker, which controls the actual mechanical click that you hear as you scroll through menu items. Next one is going to be date and time. This is pretty self explanatory. Next one is contract sorting, which allows you to sort it by last name or first name first, depending on your preference. Next, you’re going to have language, which controls the language the iPod’s in. Legal displays for legal information, and last but not least is reset all settings, which changes all options in this menu back to there user default as when the iPod was new and in the box. On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Eric. Thank you for watching. Have a good day.
