Tonight we are talking about different Christmas traditions from around the world. Well, I had the pleasure of spending a Christmas in Argentina on year many years ago when I was teenager. Its a very sort of odd experience if you are from the States because in Argentina you are, actually, in the Southern Hemisphere, making it Summer on Christmas and it can get very hot here. We basically decorated a Christmas Tree with some red and white garland and some ornaments, it is very commercialize there now and this was many years ago as well. We do decorate the tree and then you have a big Christmas Eve celebration. There is Midnight Mass and then you come back to a very elaborate feast with every kind of meat that you can think of and all the most delicious foods; cannelloni, tortellini, amlinesa, and all kinds of just delicious, delicious foods. The night is spent having dancing and having a lot of fun and the children go outside to watch fireworks, so, in some ways it's a lot like the Fourth of July. You stay up to all hours, you get to open your presents after midnight and the celebration goes on for hours and hours. Argentina is definitely a fun place to spend Christmas.
