Cover Plate for Door Lock Replacement

Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we're going to show you how to change the lock on your commercial steel door. Okay now we're ready to put the cover plate back on to our lock. We're going to put this screw in the bottom. But we're not going to tighten it up all the way yet, just leave it, just a little bit loose. And then we're ready to put in the two top screws. But we're not going to tighten up any of them yet. Okay, now we're going to go one at a time and just snug them up and then go back again and tighten these up sequentially, because if one of them is tightened up all the way, then the others may get jammed out of position. Okay, so it looks like our lock is working.
