Removing Plate to Replace Door Lock

Hi. I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we're going to show you how to change the lock on your commercial steel door. Okay, so today we're going to change out the lock on your commercial steel door. This is a...the manufacturer is Schlage. It's a good lock. It is a double cylinder deadbolt lock, which means that there is a locking cylinder on each side of the door, so we're going to go ahead and open this up. What you need to do first is open the door, because you can't get at the side plate while the door is locked, so if you come around here you can see the side plate. So, the first thing you do is, you remove these three screws. I'll get a screwdriver here. You need to open the door first so that you can gain access to the side screws. You're going to take off this side plate here and this will give you access to the...to these little clamps. What you're going to want to do is, you're going to unscrew the cylinders okay? Now that's off, so we're going to go ahead and get this out. So, this is the plate which you will first remove.
