Oberek Dancing Corner Turn Footwork

Now we want to focus on the foot work to the oberek on the corner turn or the quarter turn. Because as we said before if you are dancing on the dance floor you are going to have to turn itself at one point. So as you can see with our foot work it's more of a side to side and now with the shift of weight and you can really see the quarter turn, 1 2 3 side to side, 1 2 3 1 2 3. You are still remaining in that same oberek step, now ladies your foot may take up a slight backwards on the side to side. That is only because you want to continue in that direction to make the turn. So naturally your foot may go in a backwards direction and 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3. The same thing gentleman your footwork you are either stepping forward or you are leading the lady back during the turn. Always staying on the oberek 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 and you'll see that the foot work is very similar to a very fast waltz.
