In this, the last segment of "Adam's Song" by Blink 182 we're going to take a look at the 2nd half of the Chorus. Let's take a look. First step, you got distort your guitar, because that's when it kicks in. Now, in the last segment I explained 2 finger power chords, in this one we're using three finger power chords. Same idea except that we add the pinkie to the power chord. In this case we're going to start on the fifth fret of the A string with our index finger, the seventh fret of the D string with our ring finger and the seventh fret of the G string with our pinkie. That's a three finger power chord, in this case it's a D power chord. Hit it eight times. Then slide it up the neck two frets, one, two, to its seven, nine, and nine on the same strings. Then you're going to move the whole form down a string, to the E string on the seventh fret E string with your index finger, ring finger on the ninth fret of the A string and pinkie on the ninth fret of the B string. Hit that four times. You're going to slide this whole thing down to the third fret, where my next finger is here. Third fret, fifth fret, fifth fret on the E, A, and D strings. Hit those eight times. All together they sound like this. (audio demo) Now we are going to put that together with the first half of the Chorus. And it sounds like this. Now, let's put the first half and the second half of the Chorus together, it sounds like this. (audio demo) Modified chord. (audio demo) And then we kick the distortion on. (audio demo) Now, so far, I've explained all the parts of Blink 182's "Adam's Song" but in the next segment we're going to put it in series, in the arrangement series. I'll see you there.
