In this segment we're going to take a look at the chorus, still on acoustic guitar, let's take a look. Now the first chord we'll hit is an E minor chord. Basically, take your index finger put it on the second fret of the A string, take your middle finger put it on the second fret of the D string, everything else is open. The next chord is a B minor. We're going to bar the entire second fret, then we're going to take our middle finger put it on the third fret of the B string, take our ring finger put it on the fourth fret of the D string, and our pinkie on the fourth fret of the G string. We're going to strum from the A string down, that's a B minor. The next one is an open C chord. We're going to take our ring finger put it on the third fret of the A string, we'll take our middle finger put it on the second fret of the D string, take our index finger put it on the first fret of the B string. So the frets, in order, are three, two, open string, first fret, open string. C chord sounds like this. The G chord we'll use is a G five. We're going to use our middle finger for the third fret, we've used it before, the third fret of the low E, we're going to mute out the A string, open D, open G, ring finger on the third fret of the B string, and pinkie on the third fret of the high E string. Sounds like this. The last chord that we'll use in the chorus is an open D chord which is an open D string, index finger on the second fret of your G string, middle finger on the second fret of your high E string, and your ring finger on the third fret of the B string. You strum from the D string down. These chords, E minor, B minor, C, G, and again E minor, B minor, C, and then the D will form the chord progression that we'll use when we play the chorus. Now, we pick out, and I'll show you how to do that. The picking arrangement with the right hand goes like this. Switch to the B minor, switch to the C, switch to that G five. Then, use your index finger to go to the second fret of the low E string and strum it the same way. Then we're going to start the pattern over again with an E minor, C, then end it with the D chord that we talked about. All together it sounds like this. (Audio demo) From that part, after that chorus, it goes back into a little verse section, and so on. Now, after the whole introduction of this song, where they go through a few verses, a chorus, another verse, they hit the electric guitar. I'm going to show you all that riffage in the next segment, see you there.
