History of Domino Polka Figure Dances

In this next clip we're going to take you into the Domino Polka Figure Dance. And it's a mix of all your different things but the basic is the fundamental to the Polka. And this dance was created generations ago and it's a blend of Square Dancing, Cotton Eyed Joe and it's been compared to all those dances put together into one. But the basic fundamental is the Polka. There's some kicks and some stamps and some hand variations and it adds a little more creativity to a common just Polka. And it's done in a group fashion around the dance floor. And what it is, it's done as a lot of fun. Everyone comes on the dance floor with a partner and we will do variations of very similar steps so you will see people doing similar things, a little bit different, some are the same but it's all going to be coordinated to the same type of dance in a circle fashion.
