Applying Lacquer in Wood Scratch Repair

Alright, now what we're going to do is, we've touched up that little area with our paints, we've got the color background, the base color's in, and now I need to seal it. We're going to do that with an aerosol can because it carries well and you don't have the ability to spray in a home with all the equipment we have in the shops, so this is the next best thing. You just want to mist it on. We don't want a whole lot of finish on there. Just enough to protect it temporarily, for the time being. We're going to let that dry, and then we'll come back and we're going to add, build more to this finish. There's some other things we've got to do to get more depth in it, more color. For right now, we're about half way there, and you can see the divot's come a long way. We've gotten rid of the gouge, we've leveled it out, and now we've put some finish on there. And now we've got a sealer coat on and we're slowly working our way towards the finish. So, we'll let that dry and then we'll come back and do some more.
