Testing Glue Durability for Fabric Crafts
Hi, I'm Robin, with tress-mom.com, making a video for Expert Village today on adding embellishments to your t-shirts.
This is one of the ones that we have finished. After you have let it dry for twelve hours you want to test the jewels to make sure that you have gotten them solidly on to your t-shirt; especially if you're using the stars. It's really hard to get the points of the stars glued down. So, you're going to test each individual jewel and make sure that it's down. You don't have to do this right after twelve hours is up. But before you wash it, you want to make sure each jewel is adhered solidly to your shirt. The way you do that is to just go through and kind of pull up the jewel and see. This one could use a little more glue underneath. We're just going to make sure that we go on the edges and just glue it down. The circle should be all the way around the edge. Make sure that they don't pull up at all, as well as, the rectangles. If it pulls up at all just add a little bit more glue. Let it dry for 12 to 24 hours before you wash it. Then it will all be secure and it won't come off.
