Benefits of Sewing Rhinestones to Clothing
Hi, I'm Robin with treesmom.com. I'm making a video for Expert Village today on how to add jewels to your t-shirts. And this t-shirt is one that I have sewed them on, and if you choose to sew them, you can use monofilament thread, which is kind of like fish line, it's see through so you don't see it. It's kind of hard to work with, though, and very slippery. These I've done with just regular thread and part of the disadvantage of sewing them on, not only does it take a lot longer, but you can see the threads as they are on the jewels. Also, some of the jewels don't have very many holes for the thread like these hearts only have two, and so the end kind of pokes up. So when you wash it, it might stick to something else or if you wear a jacket over it, it might stick to something else. But these are very secure to sew them on and it's easy to change them if you don't like the way it looks and so these are all things to consider, whether you sew them on or whether you glue them on.
