Polka Dancing Ladies Under Arm Turn

Video Transcript

The ladies part of the under arm turn will start with close dance position. Ladies we're going to follow the gentleman's lead on this and he's going to guide us to what dance step he wants us to do next. So as the gentleman lifts his arm up you're going to know that you are going to go under. You are going to take the arm off of the shoulder and push it through and that's the direction you are going in. As he's pushing on your shoulder blade to guide you through and you're going to take one polka step 1 2 3 and continue with another polka step 1 2 3. As you are coming around your arm should rest on back on the gentleman's shoulder. So we'll show you that again we're following the gentleman's lead. He lifts his arm and pushes up our shoulder, we push our arm through 1 2 3 2 2 3.
