OK, as far as enrolling in a flight school, it's generally a pretty simple process. Although there are a variety of different kinds of schools, large flight academies that exist which are essentially full time, almost like a college like atmosphere. Companies such as Flight Safety in Florida being an example of that type of flight training situation where you would enroll and would be a full time student. You would be staying in a dorm and you would be there, essentially you'd be living there until such time as you completed your flight training. A more common type of flight training environment is the small airport and the small flight schools that exist in most communities. A lot of airports have at least one small flight school. And these are really designed to work around the individual schedule. In these situations, you typically would be going to the airport, providing them with a certain amount of documentation as far as your identity. Again, a little bit of your background, you'd be filling out an application and then you would be starting with an individual instructor at that flight school. Working with your primary flight instructor is probably the single biggest determining factor of your success in your flight training so it's very important that you find someone that you can communicate with very easily. Someone that can answer your questions, someone that can address your concerns, someone who is very knowledgeable, obviously, in their field and has a good block of experience and has the ability to kind of easily teach what you need to know in order to become a successful pilot. So I'd say that's probably the single biggest factor is making sure that you have a good working relationship with your instructor. And at the same time, if you find that possibly working with one instructor and if it isn't working out to the point where you're happy with it, there's certainly nothing wrong with asking to fly with a different instructor and continue with your training because obviously, everybody is here for one purpose and that's to see you successfully complete your program and get you your private pilot's license in as little time as, money, as reasonably possible.
