45º Pilates Leg Lift Tips

Leg Lifts at a 45 degree angle We're going to utilize both legs at the same time so it's more of an advanced move than working unilateral. As you own your roll down, feet hip width apart and we're going to support here, the hands beside our head. If you absolutely need to, if you have an injury in your cervical spine, you can lay your head flat. And we're going to take our feet up to what is zero, the starting point, and if you can then you're going to come back down and stop on a dime either here, here, or here, whatever allows you to keep a neutral spine, back flat to the mat. Up and release out. So exhale up, inhale on extension out. Exhale. Try to just curl the pubic to navel, that lower half of the rectus abdominus curl. Up, inhale legs out. Again, if this bothers your neck you can lay down. Curl up, release out. The key is to hold and control all the momentum. And release, pull your knees into the chest. Let your lower back release and up and hold.
