The Pilates Leg Circles Exercise

Leg circles are probably one of the most frequently done incorrect Pilates exercises and they take a lot of control. Obviously, start by initiating the roll down line sublime on the mat. And to start out with if you are a beginner you can leave the opposite knee bent and what you want to do is take that foot and line it up with the knee joint and the hip. Now from here we want to try not to press against the floor because as we take the toe and draw a circle in circular motion and active range of motion with all those joints lined up were going to control the movement with the mid section, all that core strength. Do about 8-10 taking it on the outside of the circle and then rotate 8-10 on the inside. If you want, you can stay in a sit up position or relax your head. Now if you want to get a little more advanced you would extend the opposite leg now you've got more momentum and stability to maneuver and control, and again, it's a very small and controlled circle. Youre going to have your own active range of motion, work within your range, and again reverse, and really be careful not to use momentum, its muscle over momentum Pilates is all about control logy.
