Playing the Press Drum Roll Evenly

Continuing on with the press roll. We're now going to alternate strokes, just like we did with single alternating strokes; the difference now is that we're just going to be buzzing each stroke. Now, we want to go evenly. And you want to start slow and get faster. Obviously, the drum roll has to be done quickly, so you start slow, and it's a good idea to count; 1,2,3,4. You can start counting in your head after a few. Ok, now at that point it doesn't sound a whole like a roll, it's a little uneven but this is what you want to do to get started. Just practice doing your bounces, alternating right - left and keeping it even just like you're doing single strokes, nice and even. And in the next step we'll put it all together and make into a roll.
