Hi. Welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares and today we're going to be making a rag blanket. In this clip we're going to talk about the ragging effect and how we make it on this blanket. What makes that is when we wash and dry this blanket. It washes and it frays the fabric and that's what gives us the ragging effect. So we're going to wash this with your standard, everyday detergent. We're going to go ahead and put some in the washer. And then we're going to add the blanket on top of it. And even though this is just a single garment in the washer, we're going to go ahead and set it on either a medium or a high level because we want lots of water in there to soak around it. We're going to go ahead and wash it in cold water. No problem there. You're going to put it on your heaviest or your fastest speed and if you have an extra rinse cycle on your machine, go ahead and set it for your extra rinse also. So I do have an extra rinse cycle. And we are going to get that washing and it's going to do its thing.
