What is an A Line Bob Haircut?

Hi, I'm Casey and I'm with Elements University. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village and in this segment of videos I'm going to show you how to do a woman A line haircut. In this segment I'm going to do the consultation with our client. So what I'm going to end up doing is I'm going to make this part right here this length, it's going to be the longest point in this haircut. What an A line haircut is, is we're going to take this and we're going to angle it back to have the shortest part around the back of her neck. So what I need to do is I need to create a sharp line that is going to come from here follow it back and I'm going to end up taking her to pretty much about right here. Now what's going to happen in the back of the haircut is it's going to start coming from the shortest point which is going to be in the middle section of her neck and I'm going to start creating lengths to turn around and continue that into her sides. I haven't quite determined yet if we're going to put layers in her haircut, she has previous layers currently. So now I'm going to see how those work with our A line so at this point what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and get our client draped and I'm going to go ahead and shampoo her.
